The Asian Development Bank (ADB) has restated its unwavering commitment to assist Sri Lanka in its economic and social advancement.
This affirmation came during a discussion between ADB President Mr. Masatsugu Asakawa and Sri Lanka's State Minister of Finance Shehan Semasinghe at the sidelines of the ADB Annual Meeting in Tbilisi, Georgia.
State Minister Semasinghe took to 'X' (formerly Twitter) to share the outcome of the discussion, stating that Mr. Asakawa not only reassured support but also applauded President Ranil Wickramasinghe and the government for the steady progress made in the economy.
Mr. Asakawa also lauded the government's action plan, as outlined in the governance diagnostic report.
During the exchange, Minister Semasinghe highlighted the series of reforms undertaken by the Sri Lankan government aimed at bolstering economic stability, fostering growth, and fortifying governance structures.
