A cannabis farm with over 250,000 plants valued at Rs. 50 million was raided in Hambegamuwa, Udawalawa by the Army and Police.
The plantation, hidden in an inaccessible area, was discovered based on intelligence shared with Matara Police by Army Intelligence.
A joint operation between Police and Army led to the raid, where two individuals managed to escape upon authorities' arrival.
Matara Police are currently investigating the incident further.
