Janaka Wakkumbura took the oath of office as the State Minister of Provincial Councils, Local Government, and Environment.
According to the President’s Media Division, he was sworn in before President Ranil Wickremesinghe at the Presidential Secretariat a short while ago.
The appointment augments Wakkumbura's existing portfolio as the State Minister of Provincial Councils and Local Government. This expanded role underscores the government's emphasis on effective governance and environmental stewardship.
