Two members of the Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP) have defected to the main opposition party, Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB).
Former provincial council members Gamini Thilakasiri and Gamini Silva have joined hands with the SJB, marking a notable shift in allegiances within the political landscape.
According to reports, Thilakasiri and Silva participated in the 100th edition of Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa's 'Sakwala' smart classroom program, which took place at Boralesgamuwa Maha Vidyalaya in Kesbewa on Friday (Feb. 16). Their presence at the event signals their formal association with the SJB and highlights their alignment with the opposition's agenda.
