In a special announcement on Tuesday, the President's Media Division (PMD) provided details regarding the upcoming Presidential Election and General Election. The communiqué confirmed that the Presidential Election is scheduled to be held within the mandated period.
However, the General Election is slated for 2025 according to the current timeline, with financial provisions allocated in the 2025 budget, as stated by the PMD.
Stressing the Election Commission's role in conducting the polls, the PMD assured that the government would engage with the election body "as and when required".
