In a recent update, the Department of Immigration and Emigration has declared an increase in the fee for passport issuance under the normal service category. The Controller General of Immigration and Emigration confirmed that, effective from tomorrow (Feb. 01), the revised fee for obtaining passports through normal service will surge from Rs. 5,000 to Rs. 10,000.
