The Prosecutor General of Maldives Mr.Hussain Shameem was injured after he was attacked on a street in Male City.He is currently is being treated at the ADK hospital in Maldives,spokes man of the PG office Mr.Shafeeu told Ziradaily short while ago.
In the early hours of this morning, the Prosecutor General, Uz. Hussain Shameem was attacked with a weapon, by two individuals on a motorcycle.
The incident occured on the streets of the capital city Male'. The Prosecutor General sustained injuries to his body and is receiving treatment at ADK Hospital. Spokesman for the PG office Mr.Shafeeu said PG Hussain Shameem is now in stable condition.
Maldives Police Services are investigating this incident as a high priority.The motive behind the attack is unclear at the moment. The Prosecutor General's Office strongly condemn this attack on the country's top criminal justice official.
