The Kalutara Divisional Criminal Investigation Unit has arrested two criminals along with a T56 firearm and several other weapons as part of the ongoing operation 'Yukthiya'.
According to police, the first suspect, aged 46 and hailing from Horana, along with a 29-year-old individual, were arrested in connection with the operation.
During the raid, police recovered 28 bullets, a magazine, a locally made firearm, an air rifle, and seven swords.
Investigations have revealed that these weapons were allegedly kept in possession due to a long-standing dispute between the two parties, with the intention of targeting a person from the opposing party.
Further investigations are underway by the Kalutara Divisional Criminal Investigation Unit.
