Sri Lanka's Export Development Bank (ED) has reported that the country's total exports in 2023 amounted to USD 14.49 billion, marking a slight decline of 0.39% from the previous year. 

According to the EDB's report, Sri Lanka achieved a total export value of USD 14.99 billion in 2022, showing a notable increase of USD 3.08 billion compared to the previous year.

The report highlights that the estimated value of service exports from January to December 2023 reached USD 3,080.9 million, indicating a substantial 63.1% growth compared to the same period in 2022. 

However, the cumulative merchandise exports during the same period experienced a decrease of 9.54%, totaling USD 11,856.3 million, in contrast to the corresponding period in 2022.
