On the approval of the National Police Commission, Acting Inspector General of Police Deshabandu Tennakoon has transferred three Deputy Inspector Generals of Police with effect from yesterday.
Accordingly, K. Kadupitiya who was in the position of DIG in charge of Transport and Communications has been appointed as the Deputy Inspector General in charge of Western North.
Moreover, Deputy Inspector General of Police in charge of Jaffna District M.R.E.M. Senarath has been transferred as the DIG in charge of Transport and Communication, and DIG in charge of Crime Range, J.E.K Jayasinghe has been transferred as the DIG in charge of Jaffna District.
