Colombo Additional Magistrate Pasan Amarasinha has directed the issuance of a notice to the Judicial Medical Officer mandating the submission of the post-mortem examination report for the late CEO of Ceylinco Group,  Lalith Kotalawala, to the court.

Originally scheduled for announcement on November 14, the Magistrate postponed the verdict due to the non-submission of the forensic officer's report. The delay is attributed to the forensic medical officer awaiting the return of body parts sent to the government taster.

The testimony in Mr. Kotalawala's death investigation has concluded, with eight witnesses, including Sherin Paeshan Wijeratne (sister of the deceased's wife), Bambalapitiya Police Sergeant Wimalaratne (8764), and employees associated with the Ceylinco Group, providing their accounts. The forensic medical officer is expected to submit the delayed reports to the court in due course.
