An individual was fatally shot in Thelijjawela, Matara this evening, police said.
They said that two men, riding a motorcycle, arrived at a shop and opened fire on the 24-year old victim.
Investigations are currently in progress to arrest the shooters and to ascertain the motive behind the shooting.
