A 40-year-old resident of Randiya Uyana was killed after being injured in a shooting near the housing complex in Modara.
According to the police, the victim was targeted when two individuals arrived in a three-wheeler, shot him, and quickly fled the scene tonight.
The injured individual was promptly admitted to the Colombo National Hospital but, succumbed to his wounds.
Police have initiated investigations to apprehend the shooter and determine the circumstances surrounding the incident.
