Minister of Public Security Tiran Alles said that he has received a threatening letter urging that the 'Yukthiya' operation targeting criminals and drug traffickers be stopped.
The Ministry of Public Security reportedly received this letter by mail last Thursday.
The minister said that this threatening letter has been sent by mail by some person in this country and assured that he will not stop the ongoing operation no matter what threats come.
The minister said that the 'Yukthiya' operation was started according to a six-month plan to crackdown on drug traffickers and the underworld, and that the saboteurs who depend on the money of the underworld are hindering this operation.
He said that international and domestic obstacles have started to be thrown by these gangs, and according to the petitions sent by those people to the international community, the top officials of the United Nations Human Rights Organization also issued a statement against the operation.
However, the minister said that the operation won't be abandoned no matter what.
