The Criminal Investigations Department (CID) conducted a successful raid on an online loan center in Dehiwala, leading to the apprehension of five Chinese nationals and one Sri Lankan.
The operation, executed by the Computer Crimes Investigation Division of the CID, resulted in the seizure of eight desktop computers, thirteen laptops, and 41 mobile phones from the targeted company.
The arrests followed a complaint lodged with the Computer Crime Investigation Division, emphasizing the commitment to addressing illicit activities in the online financial sector.
Authorities urge the public to promptly report any related complaints to either the nearest police station or the Computer Crimes Investigation Division of the CID.
