The Ministry of Finance has declared an upward revision in casino license and renewal fees, effective from January 1, 2024.

For applicants committing a minimum investment of USD 250 million, the casino license fee and renewal fee have been established at Rs. 10 billion each.

Investors with a minimum investment of USD 500 million will be subjected to a Rs. 05 billion license fee and a Rs. 10 billion renewal fee.

Existing casino operators, licensed before January 1, 2023, face a structured license fee of Rs. 02 billion. This entails Rs. 500 million for the initial five years and Rs. 1.5 billion for the subsequent 15 years. 

Besides, the renewal fee for these operators is fixed at Rs. 10 billion, marking a significant adjustment in the financial requirements for casino operators in the country.
