A man attempting to molest a woman met a fatal end when she defended herself with a sharp weapon in Moraketiara, Tangalle.
The resident of Moraketiaraa lost his life during the confrontation.
In the absence of the woman's husband, the deceased visited the house, requesting water to drink. Seizing the opportunity, he attacked the woman in the kitchen, attempting sexual assault. In self-defense, the woman fought back, using a sharp weapon.
After the assailant collapsed, the woman promptly reported the incident to the police.
Tangalle police are currently engaged in further investigations into the incident.
