Japanese Finance Minister Suzuki Shunichi landed in Sri Lanka today for a significant two-day official visit, as announced by the Government Information Department.
Minister Suzuki was warmly welcomed upon his arrival at the Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA) in Katunayake, marking the beginning of his diplomatic mission in the South Asian nation.
Scheduled as part of the visit are official discussions with President Ranil Wickremesinghe and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ali Sabry, where key economic and diplomatic matters are expected to be on the agenda.
The Japanese Finance Minister, accompanied by a delegation, has a packed itinerary that includes visits to various notable locations in Sri Lanka.
These include the Parliament, Jayawardena Centre, Sri Jayewardenepura Hospital, Colombo Dockyard, and the Lanka Nippon Biztec Institute in Maharagama. These visits aim to foster a deeper understanding of the economic, healthcare, and technological landscapes in Sri Lanka.
