The Colombi Municipal Council (CMC) said that red notices have been issued to 700 residents in Colombo while legal action has been taken against 250 people over the past four weeks for having dengue mosquito breeding grounds in their property.
A number of people have been affected by dengue in Colombo and the surrounding areas.
The public have been urged to take precautions and keep their surroundings clean to prevent dengue mosquitos from breeding.
