The Illegal Assets and Properties Investigation Division of the Police has successfully confiscated assets and land linked to notorious drug traffickers 'Kudu Roshan,' 'Kavidu Maduranga,' and Hettiarachchige's Sriyai, totaling over Rs. 110 million in the 'Yukthiya' operation aimed at curbing illegal activities.

Acting Inspector General of Police (IGP) Deshabandu Thennakoon said that the seized assets comprise a luxury jeep valued at Rs. 33 million, a van worth Rs. 13 million, two cars valued at Rs. 14 million, and a three-wheeler valued at one million rupees.

The Public Security Ministry revealed that lands and properties with an estimated value of Rs. 45 million, situated in Thalagala, Malabe, and Ja-Ela and allegedly owned by individuals engaged in illegal activities, have been confiscated as a crucial part of the operation.

The Acting IGP said that the 'Yukthiya' operation marks a pivotal step towards ensuring public safety and dismantling criminal enterprises within the country.
