The Narahenpita Economic Centre has announced a notable reduction in the retail prices of chicken, according to a senior official.
The price per kilogram of chicken has been slashed by Rs. 40, and the cost of a live chicken has seen a reduction of Rs. 20.
Following these adjustments, the updated prices at the Narahenpita Economic Centre stand at Rs. 1,200 per kilogram for fresh chicken, Rs. 1,000 for curry chicken, and Rs. 980 for skinless chicken. This move is expected to bring relief to households and cater to diverse culinary preferences.
In comparison, the official shared that a kilogram of beef is currently priced at Rs. 2,000, while mutton is available at Rs. 3,200 per kilogram.
