The Health Ministry has taken proactive steps in the prevention and control of the dengue epidemic by introducing a dedicated hotline. Director of the National Dengue Control Unit,

Dr. Sudath Samaraweera, announced the hotline number 011-7966 366, set up at the Disaster Preparedness & Response Division of the Health Ministry.

The hotline is operational from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm, providing a crucial avenue for the public to seek information about dengue fever or report potential mosquito breeding places. Effective from today, this service is available seven days a week, including Sundays and Public Holidays.

This initiative reflects the Health Ministry's commitment to fostering public engagement and awareness in the ongoing efforts to combat and mitigate the impact of dengue. The hotline serves as a vital resource for citizens to contribute actively to the collective endeavor of controlling the spread of the disease.
