In the latest phase of operation 'Yukthiya,' a joint effort by Sri Lanka Police, Special Task Force (STF), Army, and Navy, led to arrest 822 more suspects in the 24-hour period ending at 12:30 a.m. today (Jan. 02).
The Ministry of Public Security reports the confiscation of 273g of heroin, 111g of methamphetamine ('Ice'), and 426 intoxicating pills during the period.
