The Western Province takes the lead with 39,784 reported cases, marking it as the province with the highest number of dengue instances.
The Epidemiology Unit's latest report, as of December 31, reveals a staggering total of 87,986 cases in 2023, with the Colombo District alone accounting for 18,572 cases.
Tragically, 57 lives have been claimed by Dengue this year, underscoring the severity of the situation.
The month of December witnessed a concerning surge, with 11,498 registered Dengue cases, marking the highest monthly tally for 2023.
