The National Building and Research Organisation issued early landslide warnings for several areas in five districts, to be in effect until 02.30 p.m. tomorrow 31st December 2023
Level two warning was issued for the following areas of five districts .
Badulla – Saranathota and Passara
Kandy – Ududumbara,
Monaragala – Medagama
Nuwara-Eliya – Hanguranketha and Walapane
Level one warning have been issued for the following areas:
Badulla – Bandarawela, Hali-Ela and Badulla
Matale – Laggala Pallegama, Rattota and Naula
NBRO urges people living in the landslide areas to be extra vigilant and to be ready to move quickly to safe locations if heavy rain continues.
