Sri Lanka’s flagship carrier, SriLankan Airlines, announced the re-establishment of its direct flight services between its capital city, Colombo, and Jeddah, one of Saudi Arabia’s major urban centers.
This move marks an anticipated return to one of the airline’s significant Middle Eastern routes, reflecting growing travel demand and bilateral ties between Sri Lanka and Saudi Arabia.
On August 15th, SriLankan Airlines successfully recommenced its direct flight services to Jeddah. This significant resumption ensures a steady connection three times a week—specifically on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Sundays. The flight details, as per the airline’s release, are as follows:
Flight UL281 will depart from Colombo at 14:15 and arrive in Jeddah by 18:00 on Wednesdays.
The same flight will leave Colombo at 14:25 and land in Jeddah at 18:10 on Tuesdays and Sundays.
Conversely, Flight UL282 will depart from Jeddah at 19:15 and arrive in Colombo at 04:05 the following day on Wednesdays.
On Tuesdays and Sundays, the same flight will take off from Jeddah at 19:25 and reach Colombo at 04:15 the subsequent day.
The oneWorld member airline will utilize its Airbus A330-200 aircraft for this route, offering a blend of comfort, convenience, and a memorable inflight experience to travelers.
