The National Water Supply and Drainage Board says the water supply to some areas in Colombo will be suspended for 18 hours from 8am on Saturday 19th August.

The water supply will be disrupted from 8am on Saturday( 19) to 2am on Sunday within the Colombo, Dehiwala-Mount Lavinia, Sri Jayewardenepura Kotte and Kaduwela Municipal Council areas, Maharagama, Boralesgamuwa and Kolonnawa Urban Council areas, Kotikawatta-Mulleriyawa Pradeshiya Sabha area, Ratmalana and Katubedda.

The water cut has been imposed to maintenance work due to be carried out by the Ceylon Electricity Board at the Ambatale Water Treatment Plant.
