Dr. Ajith Mendis has been appointed as the new Chairman of the State Pharmaceuticals Corporation by Health Minister Keheliya Rambukwella.
The decision comes after the removal of former Chairman Sarath Liyanage due to various allegations.
Dr. Mendis, who previously held the position of Director General of Health Services, is set to officially begin his duties tomorrow, on the 17th.
