The Border Surveillance Unit of the Immigration and Emigration Department at the Katunayake International Airport apprehended an Indian couple who tried to board a flight to the Netherlands using counterfeit passports.
The couple, both 43 years old, are of Tibetan descent. The male is a resident of Karnataka State, while the female hails from Uttarakhand State.
According to authorities, the couple made an unsuccessful attempt to use two forged Chinese passports for their journey to the Netherlands
