President Ranil Wickremesinghe will deliver a notable address in Parliament next week regarding the 13th Amendment, as mentioned in a statement from the United National Party (UNP) yesterday.
According to the statement, President Wickremesinghe will provide an explanation on the devolution of powers to provincial councils, excluding police powers.
Furthermore, the statement emphasized that the President had given assurance that any proposals aimed at reinforcing the 13th Amendment would be presented to the House for its approval.
