Traffic restrictions will be imposed on Green Path in Colombo from 10.00 p.m. today (October 21) until 10.00 p.m. on October 25, in view of the Sri Lanka Skills Expo 2026, scheduled to be held at the Green Path premises on Ananda Kumaraswamy Mawatha, within the Cinnamon Gardens Police Division.
Police said the Colombo-bound exit lane from Library Roundabout to Horton Roundabout, along the Green Path stretch on the Viharamahadevi Park side, will be completely closed during this period.
The closure is expected to cause traffic congestion, particularly for vehicles travelling to nearby schools, including Ladies’ College, Thurstan College and Royal College, as well as during evening peak hours on weekdays.
To minimise traffic congestion, police have advised motorists and the public to use alternative routes.
