The “Atlas Angel II” Joint Exercise concluded today with a closing ceremony, marking the successful completion of five days of disaster response training involving personnel from the Sri Lanka Air Force, the Montana National Guard and the U.S. Pacific Air Forces.
The closing ceremony was graced by the Commander of the Sri Lanka Air Force, Air Marshal Bandu Edirisinghe, alongside U.S. Ambassador Eric Meyer, marking another significant milestone in the longstanding defence cooperation between Sri Lanka and the United States.
The exercise provided a valuable platform for participating personnel to enhance their disaster response capabilities, operational readiness and interoperability, while sharing knowledge, expertise and best practices in responding to emergencies and natural disasters.
