England Men’s selectors have named two 16-member squads for the upcoming Vitality IT20 and Metro Bank ODI series against Sri Lanka.

Opening batter Aneurin Donald has earned his first call-up to the England Men’s T20I squad, while uncapped Sussex seamer Henry Crocombe has been selected for the ODI series.

Harry Brook will captain both squads, with Jamie Overton returning to the England setup after missing the white-ball series against India earlier this summer due to a thigh injury.

The T20 squad includes Jofra Archer, Gus Atkinson, Sonny Baker, Tom Banton, Jos Buttler, James Coles, Jordan Cox, Liam Dawson, Ben Duckett, Will Jacks, Saqib Mahmood, Adil Rashid and Josh Tongue alongside Brook, Donald and Overton.

For the ODI series, England have also included Rehan Ahmed and former Test captain Joe Root, while Crocombe receives his maiden call-up. The squad also features Archer, Atkinson, Banton, Baker, Buttler, Cox, Dawson, Duckett, Jacks, Overton, Rashid and Tongue.

Phil Salt will miss the series after sustaining a right quad injury. Meanwhile, Jacob Bethell remains unavailable after undergoing successful surgery on his injured knee earlier this week and is continuing his rehabilitation.
