Several officials from Parliament appeared before the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption (CIABOC) today (3) in connection with a complaint filed by former Deputy Secretary-General of Parliament Chaminda Kularatne.
The officials reportedly provided documents relevant to the Commission’s investigation into the complaint.
The inquiry stems from a complaint lodged by Kularatne and several other parties on February 2, 2026, concerning allegations of the misuse of official vehicles and residences by Speaker of Parliament Dr. Jagath Wickramaratne.
Kularatne’s complaint reportedly contains several allegations, including the alleged misuse of official vehicles, fuel allowances and government residences, as well as other matters relating to parliamentary administration.
CIABOC is continuing its investigations into the allegations.
