According to the parliamentary agenda, the session from 9:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. has been allocated for parliamentary business stipulated under Standing Order 22(1)–(6).
From 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., Members of Parliament will take up Questions for Oral Answers, followed by Questions under Standing Order 27(2) from 11:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
The House will then debate a series of Private Members' Motions from 11:30 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. The motions scheduled for debate include:
Kandasamy Prabhu – Promoting self-sufficiency in Sri Lanka's dairy production sector.
Hector Appuhamy – Formulating a programme to protect the country's mangrove ecosystem.
M.S. Udumalebbe – Expanding the railway line from Batticaloa to Pottuvil or extending the railway line from Matara to Kalmunai.
Imran Mahroof – Establishing a Commission of Inquiry into the mandatory cremation of Muslim victims during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Dayasiri Jayasekara – Introducing a mechanism to prevent the artificial ripening of fruits using chemical substances.
Susantha Kumara Navaratne – Developing a national policy and framework for wildlife management in Sri Lanka.
Shanakkiyan Rajaputhiran Rasamanickam – Establishing a special development fund to reduce regional disparities in development.
The day's proceedings will conclude with Adjournment Questions, scheduled from 5:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.
