The third phase of the ExpoScaleUp programme, a South Asian initiative aimed at supporting small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) through climate-friendly and infrastructure-focused acceleration, was launched recently in Sri Lanka.
The programme is designed to equip Sri Lankan SMEs with the knowledge, skills, and strategic guidance needed to compete successfully in international markets and achieve sustainable business growth.
The inaugural ceremony was held under the patronage of Mangala Wijesinghe, Chairman of the Sri Lanka Export Development Board (EDB).
The flagship initiative primarily targets Sri Lankan SMEs with high growth potential. As part of the programme, 25 entrepreneurs from across the country participated in an intensive four-day training programme focused on enhancing export readiness and expanding global market access.
ExpoScaleUp was first launched in January 2025. Since its inception, the programme has provided support to nearly 50 entrepreneurs, helping them strengthen their businesses and prepare for international expansion.
