A person has reportedly been killed following a shooting incident on Kandawala Road in Ratmalana a short while ago.
According to initial reports, the victim was travelling in a three-wheeler when two unidentified gunmen on a motorcycle opened fire near the Kandawala Junction.
The injured individual was rushed to the Kalubowila Teaching Hospital for emergency treatment but later succumbed to injuries.
Police have launched an investigation to identify and apprehend the suspects. The motive behind the shooting has not yet been determined, and further investigations are underway.
