Showers will occur at times in Western, Sabaragamuwa and North-western provinces and in Kandy, Nuwara-Eliya, Galle and Matara districts. Heavy falls above 100 mm are likely at some places.
A few showers may occur in Anuradhapura and Hambantota districts.
Mainly dry weather will prevail over the other areas of the island.
Strong winds of about (40-50) kmph can be expected at times over Northern, North-central, North-western and Central provinces and in Rathnapura, Monaragala, Hambantota and Trincomalee districts.

Condition of Rain:
Showers will occur at times in the sea areas off the coast extending from Chilaw to Matara via Colombo and Galle.
Winds:
Winds will be south-westerly. Wind speed will be (30-40) kmph.
Wind speed can increase up to (60-70) kmph at times in the sea areas off the coast extending from Hambantota to Pottuvil and from Kankasanthurai to Kalpitiya via Mannar.
Naval and fishing communities are advised not to venture into these sea areas, until further notice.
Wind speed can increase up to (50-60) kmph at times in the sea areas off the coast extending from Trincomalee to Kankasanthurai via Mullaitivu and Kalpitiya to Hambantota via Colombo, and Galle. The naval and fishing communities who are engaged in fishing and naval activities in the above sea areas are requested to be vigilant in this regard.
State of Sea:
The sea areas off the coasts extending from Hambantota to Pottuvil and from Kankasanthurai to Kalpitiya via Mannar will be very rough at times. The sea areas off the coasts extending from Trincomalee to Kankasanthurai via Mullaitivu and Kalpitiya to Hambantota via Colombo, and Galle will be rough at times.
The wave height may increase about (2.5 – 3.0) meters in the sea areas off the coast extending from Mannar to Pottuvil via Colombo, Galle and Hambantota.
