One of the year's major meteor showers, the Delta Aquariids, will be visible across the night sky tonight (July 29) and during the early hours of tomorrow (July 30), according to Sri Lankan space scientist and engineering lecturer Gihan Weerasekara.
He said the meteor shower will appear to radiate from the Delta Aquarii star in the constellation Aquarius.
Skywatchers can expect to see around 20 to 25 meteors per hour, with the event remaining visible throughout the night, offering excellent viewing opportunities.
