Sri Lanka recorded 90,122 tourist arrivals during the first half of July, according to the latest data released by the Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority (SLTDA).
India remained the country's largest source market, with 20,480 visitors, accounting for 23% of total arrivals during the period. The United Kingdom ranked second with 9,277 tourists, followed by China (5,494), Australia (5,487), and the Netherlands (4,744).
The latest figures also show that 1,236,695 tourists have visited Sri Lanka so far in 2026, reflecting continued growth in the country's tourism sector. India leads the cumulative arrivals with 314,163 visitors, followed by the United Kingdom (117,844) and China (81,665).
For comparison, Sri Lanka welcomed 200,244 tourists in July 2025, highlighting the country's ongoing efforts to strengthen its tourism industry and attract more international visitors.
