The team arrived at Bandaranaike International Airport in Katunayake, where they were warmly welcomed by officials of Sri Lanka Athletics, along with their parents, relatives, and well-wishers.
The championship was held in China from July 8 to July 12, featuring competitors from 43 Asian countries.
Ayomal Akalanka Liyanage delivered Sri Lanka's best performance by winning the silver medal in the men's 400m hurdles. He also set a new Sri Lankan national record in the event.
Meanwhile, Jithma Wijetunga claimed the bronze medal in the women's 400m event, while Nethmika Madhushani secured another bronze medal in the women's triple jump.
Sri Lanka concluded the championship with a total of three medals one silver and two bronzemarking a successful campaign at the inaugural Asian Under-23 Athletics Championships.
