President Anura Kumara Dissanayake has appointed Kumarasingam Gunanathan as the new Chief Secretary of the Eastern Province.
The letter of appointment was officially presented by Dr. Nandika Sanath Kumanayake, Secretary to the President, during a ceremony held at the Presidential Secretariat this afternoon (July 8).
Mr. Gunanathan is a Special Grade officer of the Sri Lanka Administrative Service. He has previously served as the Secretary to the Eastern Province Ministry of Education and has also held the positions of Divisional Secretary for Kuchchaveli, Verugal, and Manmunai North.
