The High Commission of India in Colombo has called for applications from eligible Sri Lankan students for undergraduate and diploma programs under the Self Financing Scheme for the 2026–27 academic year.

According to the High Commission, the programme is open to Sri Lankan students, excluding PIO/OCI card holders and Non-Resident Indians (NRIs).

The courses offered include MBBS, BDS, BE, B.Tech, B.Pharm, B.Arch, as well as diploma programmes in engineering and pharmacy.

Applicants seeking admission to MBBS and BDS programmes must have obtained at least the 50th percentile in the NEET examination and secured a minimum of 50% in Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English at the G.C.E. Advanced Level.

Candidates applying for BE, B.Tech and Engineering Diploma programmes are required to have at least 60% in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics, along with a minimum of 50% in English at the Advanced Level.

For B.Pharmacy and Diploma in Pharmacy courses, applicants must have obtained at least 60% in Physics, Chemistry and Biology, together with a minimum of 50% in English.

Students applying for the Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch) programme must also successfully complete the aptitude test prescribed by the Council of Architecture in New Delhi.

Application forms can be collected from the Education Wing of the High Commission of India in Colombo on working days between 2.00 p.m. and 4.00 p.m. upon submission of G.C.E. Ordinary Level and Advanced Level certificates along with the applicant’s birth certificate.

The High Commission said completed applications, together with the required supporting documents, must be submitted on or before July 24, 2026.
