The appointment was confirmed during the GMOA's Annual General Meeting (AGM), which was held today (June 27).
Meanwhile, Dr. Bandara Warakagoda was elected as the new General Secretary of the association.
The newly elected office-bearers will lead the GMOA during the 2026/27 term, representing government medical officers on matters related to the country's healthcare sector.
