Mr. Muthukude brings nearly 30 years of experience in public service, having held several senior positions in key government institutions. His previous roles include Director and Additional Director General of the Department of Management Audit under the Ministry of Finance, Additional Director General of the Department of Public Finance, Chief Financial Officer of the Sri Lanka Customs Department, and Director of Finance and Accountant in multiple leading state institutions.
He is recognized for his extensive expertise in public financial management and administration.
Mr. Muthukude completed his university education at the Rajarata University of Sri Lanka and later obtained a postgraduate degree from the Sri Lanka Institute of Development Administration (SLIDA), strengthening his professional qualifications.
In addition to his academic background, he has received advanced professional training both locally and internationally, including in the United Kingdom, Thailand, Malaysia, and China, in the fields of public policy formulation, financial management, and project management.
