According to the Board, a total sum of Rs. 10,904,801,250 will be directly credited to the bank accounts of 1,373,248 beneficiary families.

Issuing a statement, Chairman and Commissioner of the Welfare Benefits Board, Nimal Kotawalagedara, stated that these payments are being made exclusively to beneficiaries registered under the first phase of the Aswesuma programme.

Accordingly, eligible recipients will be able to access their June benefit payments through their designated Aswesuma bank accounts from today onward.
