The warning is effective from 4:00 a.m. on June 12 until 4:00 a.m. on June 13.
The areas placed under the early warning are:
Kalutara District – Palindanuwara
Kandy District – Doluwa
Nuwara Eliya District – Ambagamuwa
Ratnapura District – Pelmadulla, Ayagama, Ratnapura, Godakawela, Kalawana, and Nivithigala
The NBRO has advised residents in the affected areas to remain vigilant and pay close attention to any signs of landslides, slope failures, rock falls, or ground subsidence.
Authorities urge the public to follow official instructions and monitor updates issued by the NBRO and disaster management agencies until the warning period expires.
