A road accident occurred near the Suriyawewa entrance of the Southern Expressway last night (28), according to police reports.
Three individuals sustained injuries in the incident and were admitted to the Embilipitiya Base Hospital for treatment.
Police stated that a tipper truck had crashed into the safety barrier along the expressway. Subsequently, a concrete mixer truck traveling behind the tipper collided with the rear of the vehicle, leading to the accident.
Further investigations into the incident are currently being conducted by the police.
