In his message, Premadasa stated that the Hajj pilgrimage, where people gather with a single purpose beyond barriers of race and color, delivers a noble message of peace and equality to the world.
He further expressed hope that the spirit of Eid ul-Adha would inspire greater harmony, understanding, trust, and unity among people, while wishing for peace to prevail in Sri Lanka and across the world.
“May we further realize that noble message, and may tomorrow dawn for our country and the world with peace, harmony, unity, understanding, and trust,” the Opposition Leader said in his Eid message.
