The championship was held in Kathmandu, Nepal, from May 16 to 17, with the participation of around 500 athletes representing nine countries.
Veteran athlete Asanka Dissanayake, competing in the senior category, claimed three gold medals after emerging victorious in the 100m, 200m and 5km walk events.
Meanwhile, under-20 athlete Shashikumaar Thilakshika also won three gold medals in the 800m, 1,500m and 5km marathon events.
The two athletes arrived at Katunayake Airport at around 4.00 p.m. on May 18 aboard SriLankan Airlines flight UL-180 from Kathmandu.
A large group of parents, relatives and friends gathered at the airport to warmly welcome the athletes and celebrate their achievements.
